Hands-on pizza and sourdough workshops where kids, families and grown-ups slow down,
get floury and make something real together — with a little mindfulness folded into the dough.

Every pizza starts as a little ball of dough.
So does every good story. Here’s Tim’s.

Meet Tim
Hello, I’m Tim.
The journey of The Mindful Baker began with a pivotal moment when I found myself skiing off a mountain cliff in 2007, altering the course of my life forever.
Through months and years of rehabilitation, I faced my lowest points, ultimately confronted with a choice: let adversity cripple me or rise above it.
“I chose resilience, and that decision shaped my path.”
Armed with the techniques that helped me overcome my own challenges, I embarked on a mission to support families in their journey towards mindfulness and connection. After immersing myself in life coaching, mindfulness practices, meditation and strategic business planning, The Mindful Baker emerged.
Now, I help families with…
Meaningful connections through shared experiences like pizza-making workshops, where children and parents bond while learning mindfulness techniques.
A space to embrace mindfulness and mental well-being together, fostering understanding and support within the family unit.
Resilience and compassion for parents and children navigating life’s challenges, integrating mindfulness into daily life for greater harmony and balance.
Whether it’s a child and their friends, you and yours, or a mix of both — there’s a session with your name on the apron.
For kids
Kid’s Pizza Workshop
For an hour and a half, kids design their own pizzas with a selection of delicious toppings, watch them bake in the oven, then eat (and maybe share?) their very own creation with their friends.
Learn to make the sourdough pizza base itself, then design, build and bake your own pizza and devour it with the class alongside a choice of drinks. You take home your proofing base and a jar of Timmy’s infamous sourdough starter.
Kids decorate their own pizzas with “as much of whatever they want and absolutely none of whatever it is they despise”, while the grown-ups learn to make the base — with mindfulness exercises woven into the cooking for both.
Stretch the dough, swirl the sauce, pile on the toppings and slide it into the oven. A little game for small chefs (and big ones who should be working).
Sourdough is a slow, intentional process — mixing, kneading, proofing, baking. Tim uses those natural pauses to weave in simple mindfulness practices that help you stay present with what’s in front of you.
In the family Sizzle & Slice sessions the techniques differ for parents and kids, so both get something from it. And everyone gets to make something real with their own hands.
For grown-ups
The Mindful Baking Workshop: Mastering Sourdough
Hands-on sourdough from mixing and kneading to proofing and baking, with mindfulness woven through. You walk away with a ready-to-bake loaf in its own proving basket, a jar of Timmy’s starter, your own dough scraper and an apron — and you’ll be shown how to make a sourdough pizza base for lunch, too.
Two things Tim makes and sells. No catalogue, no fuss — just the good stuff.
